If you are the one that everyone calls when they need computer support, CrossLoop can make help make quick and easy work out of these requests. CrossLoop is an extremely handy (and free) windows app that allows you to remotely access and control a remote PC. Based on the TightVNC plugin, it is secure and requires no configuration. Your technophobe friends and relatives can install it easily and will appreciate that it is 100% permission based - they must explicitly approve your connection before any images are transmitted. Other tools like LogMeIn and VNC itself are great under the right circumstances, but for a quick and easy solution to get you connected, CrossLoop might just be the right tool for the job.

Scott, That is really cool. Back in the day I used to admin web servers with TightVNC. I need to install that utility on my home machine so I can offer tech support back home when Sabrina and the girls need some help when I’m away. Very cool.
Scott - a BIG thanks from a small team at CrossLoop for this review and bringing us to your readers. For a small team, this means a lot!

Mrinal,
Thanks so much for the visit - and for producing such a useful app. CrossLoop has been a great timesaver for me when providing tech support for friends, family and clients. I’ve had your blog in my reader for a while now to keep up with your changes.
