360Desktop is Coming to Expand Your Horizons

Coming this Fall, 360desktop is going live into Beta mode. This nifty application will likely provide a revolutionary function to those of us cramped by our current computer desktops. As a developer I’ve used as many as three monitors for a single machine and still could have appreciated more screen space. I look forward to the premiere of this beta release.

A good long time ago, the ATI cards had an option where you could set your desktop larger than your resolution.

When your mouse reached the side of the screen, the display would shift. Looks like an early version of this. I never liked it.

I’m a big fan of virtual desktops. Virtual Dimension is a great freeware app desktop manager.

Mike, I hear ya. Virtual desktops have been a mainstay of mine for a long time. Still, I’m intrigued to see if the implementation of this ads some functionality that is greater than an expanded resolution. The navigation seems pretty cool. I don’t know really though until I try it. Just sounded like it might be a good solution for some folks. I’ll let you know after I give it a shot.
