Customize Your FireFox Configuration for Better Performance

Out of all the sites I found on FireFox configuration, Life Hacker provided the most succinct summary. If you have not yet caught wind of the about:config index of settings in FireFox and spend the volume of time I do in the browser, this will be very good news for you. The MozillaZine Knowledge Base also has many good details for a more expanded view of the potential tweaks.

I just recently heard that firefox is tuned for low powered computers, and there are actually built in delays.

What’s wonderful is that it can be tuned. Even with the built-in delays it has performed faster than IE. Learning this has been great news. I’ve really appreciated the difference.
