This handy Firefox add-on works like a virtual bread-crumb trail to get you back to a set starting point while browsing. Click to save a home URL and then browse away and follow links, all the while knowing that with another click you’ll “SnapBack” to where you started.

Very useful for folks like me that are easily led on tangents while browsing, especially at sites like Wikipedia or Pownce, or lately Entrecard.

Currently compatible with Firefox: 1.0 – 3.0b2

Out of all the sites I found on FireFox configuration, Life Hacker provided the most succinct summary. If you have not yet caught wind of the about:config index of settings in FireFox and spend the volume of time I do in the browser, this will be very good news for you. The MozillaZine Knowledge Base also has many good details for a more expanded view of the potential tweaks.
